stuffed
I shrunk down the pattern in a Japanese stuffed-animal book and made a cute bunny. Then I forced a very nice bunch of people to make cute bunnies and kitties as well.

Lesson learned: Use stretchy fabric to make teeny animals. Also make sure the material is easy to poke a needle through. Otherwise you will have a bunch of very nice people sadly sitting in your apartment until 2AM trying to finish their cute animals.

The mesclun mix I planted in February has produced lettuce big enough to eat. Not quite enough for a salad, but perfect for adding to a proscuitto-parmesan panini.

Oh hey, it's been a year since pushpin started. Happy birthday, neglected blog.
slowly slowly
Starting a new project of getting into better shape.
4 reasons.
1.
Free food everywhere at work = Access to healthy food
(as opposed to getting my own veggies and fruit, and having them rot before I get around to eating them)
2.
California spring-fall = Nice weather
3.
Daylight savings time = there is still enough sunlight when I get home to go for a jog
(no way am I getting up early just to exercise. no way am I exercising at work.)
4.
Most importantly, there is a custom dress form making class being offered this summer. If I am going to spend 3 months and $150 making a dummy that is shaped exactly like me, I want the dummy to be nicely shaped. Which means I have to be nicely shaped. Which I am not, right now.
In other news, slowly going about putting together the tutorial for the momoko ruffly v-neck. Illustrations are done, need to create pdf pattern, write up instructions, take new photos.
