flowers later

The daffodils and tulips are starting to poke out of the ground. Last year, it was really ugly when the flowers died back, so I went shopping for plants that will hide the yellow limp foliage in April/May.

Picked up a bunch of Renee's Garden seed packets -- alyssum was recommended for cover up and got garden bells for fun. I hope I sowed them evenly, the seeds were awfully tiny. The garden bells are supposed to attract hummingbirds, which are pretty cool to see. I hope they don't get eaten by the neighborhood cats. Moot, I guess, if the flowers don't grow.

Also put some blue borage, vanilla berry nasturtiums, and mesclun mix into random pots and window boxes. All edible!
